SJLFilms is owned and operated by Stewart Lippe. Stewart has produced and directed several documentary films including,The Circus Saved My Life and A Good Short Life, The Ancient Art of Bellydancing, and The History of Vaudeville. He has also worked with notable directors, including Victor Nunez. Victor hired Stewart as Line Producer for the films Coastlines and Ulee's Gold (for which Peter Fonda won the Oscar).

 

Stewart's professional interests also include variety performing and photography. His many skills include juggling, circus arts such as tightwire and unicycle, and various sideshow feats. You can see an example of his work here.

 

Photography is a natural extension of filmmaking. Stewart's efforts in photography have been to discover the abstract imagery that exists in nature.
